Hastelloy Alloy C22 Forged Threaded Tee Fittings (UNS N06022) has shown an outstanding resistance to a wide range of chemicals, including chlorides, organic and inorganic solutions. Hastelloy Grade C22 Forged Threaded Elbow Fittings also has excellent resistance to oxidizing aqueous media including wet chlorine and mixtures containing nitric acid or oxidizing acids with chlorine ions.
Hastelloy C22 has better overall corrosion resistance than Hastelloy C-4, C-276, and Inconel 625. Annealing of Hastelloy Forged Fittings can be performed at a temperature range between the ranges of 2020 Degree F – 2150 Degree F followed by a rapid quench. Cooling of Alloy Grade C22 Forged Threaded Cross Fittings at an accelerated rate avoids the formation of detrimental phases which form between the ranges of 1400 Degree F – 1800 Degree F. Grade C22 Forged Threaded Pipe Fittings also offers optimum resistance to environments where reducing and oxidizing conditions are encountered in process streams. Hastelloy C22 Forged Threaded Fittings is beneficial in multi – purpose plants where such “upset” conditions occur frequently.
